Logos
I have always been fascinated and intrigued by corporate identity and logo designs, particularly those which feature negative space to enhance the brand. I have been involved with some global and national companies such as ASICS, Reebok, Jaques Michelson, Shinfield Pharmaceuticals and DEBRA.

Marks
A collection of illustrations which, at the time, did not have a company or business associated with the design. I will often capture inspiration in my notepad for development later on to be used in some format in the future.

Flash
Adobe Flash was the king of stop frame animation back in the day and unfortunately the player is being phased out in December 2020, which is a shame as many sites rely on the plug-in to run animation and video. I never really got the hang of ActionScript 2 as you can see from these examples here and to make matters worse the developers upgraded to ActionScript 3 for more influence with OOP! However, we did have tremendous fun with it!

Fonts
I was introduced to calligraphy by my English teacher, Susan Hill and since then have been intrigued by all types of letterforms. I studied Typography at Reading Art College and at the time Altsys Fontographer was the King for creating personal fonts but was very expensive. I had to wait a while before cheaper alternatives became available.

Soundtracks
I began playing bass guitar in the US and played with several bands and on my return I formed Pinewood County. I write and record songs form personal experiences and play guitar, bass and keyboards along with my daughter, Sophie. We have recorded a few instrumental tracks for use in short videos.

Lettering
I will always be grateful for my English techer's introduction to Calligraphy, which has allowed me work professionally on many projects. I have also had success with Shodo, Japanese lettering and most recently hand drawn letterforms for use in greetings cards and artwork for image libraries.
